This blog is dedicated to help you overcome the fear of table topics and deliver a winning impromptu speech every time!
Whether in the classroom, social occasion, during a meeting, in a beauty pageant contest, or in a job interview, we will be called to say a few words.
The way we answer the topic could well determine our fate – whether we will win the beauty pageant, get the job, impress our boss, or uphold the company’s public image.
How can we speak and think on our feet under pressure? During a toastmasters’ table topics session, how can we deliver a 1-2 minute impromptu speech in about 3 seconds?
The success formula rest on these four pillars, namely:
- Knowledge and application of Strategies
- Awareness of types of topics that will be asked
- Intensive and frequent practice
- Evaluation after each practice for improvement
The book “Table Topics Secrets Revealed!” was in my closet as early as 2004. In Dec 2004, I used the material in my book to conduct a series of training workshop to train my club members to become confident Table Topics speakers. Some of them graduated and win awards. The shy ones become more confident.
Then I participated in the first ever Table Topics workshop for the public and shared the platform with some of the champions. In that workshop we spilled our guts and revealed the table topics secrets. The audience know the strategies and methods.
I kept the book in my closet for years until now. I release the book because I have ‘retired’ from the scene and I want to pass on the knowledge to others.
